SYMPHONY EV have developed a key activated adapter for the Renault Twizy / Reva G-Wiz etc to convert the standard 13A plug to charge from any type 2 charging points.
The charging cable can be adapted to work with any countries domestic socket and we are already offering a Schuko version of the cable for use across Europe.
Our new Domestic Key Activated Charging Adapter can be fitted with a key operated Manual Plug Release Switch – The key can be removed in both ‘on’ and ‘off’ positions. The adapter is to be left in the ‘on’ position during charging.

The adaptor will work with any Type 2 EVSE including the ChargeMaster (Polar/British Gas) units, PodPoint, ElektroBay EVOLT etc.
*Most EVSEs that use a smartphone app will unlock the plug in the normal course of charging i.e. either when the EV has finished charging or when you command the EVSE to stop charging via the smartphone app. Otherwise, the manual release switch should be used to switch off the EVSE and release the Type 2 plug.
